Set within a tranquil, wooded enclave of the Poconos, this two-story single-family residence is a seamless fusion of modern design and natural beauty. The home is oriented to capture sweeping mountain vistas, with a dramatic elevated deck above the garage serving as a central outdoor living oasis and framing unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape.
The residence embraces an inverted layout, placing the main living areas on the upper level to maximize light, privacy, and panoramic perspectives. The open-concept kitchen, dining, and living spaces flow effortlessly, creating an elevated environment for both relaxation and entertaining. This level also houses two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, thoughtfully designed to balance privacy and functionality. On the first floor, the entryway, garage, and utility spaces provide practical support, while the master suite offers a private sanctuary complete with a spa-inspired bathroom and a walk-in dressing room.
My role in this project encompassed design development and the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction documentation. I focused on optimizing spatial layouts, integrating structural elements, and ensuring full compliance with building codes, while exploring strategies to enhance the home’s connection to topography, natural light, and spectacular views.
The design was realized using AutoCAD for precise drafting, SketchUp for 3D conceptual modeling, and Lumion for photorealistic visualizations, bringing the vision to life with clarity and elegance.
