This two-story single-family residence is situated in a tranquil, wooded area of the Poconos, designed to harmonize with the surrounding landscape and maximize panoramic mountain views. A large elevated deck, located above the garage, offers unobstructed sightlines of the natural scenery and serves as a central outdoor living space.
The home's layout is inverted, placing the main living areas—including an open-concept kitchen, dining, and living room—on the second floor to take advantage of the elevated perspective. This floor also includes two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, designed for both privacy and efficient use of space. The first floor houses the entryway, garage, utility spaces. This level also features a private master suite complete with a full bathroom and a walk-in dressing room
I contributed to the design development and preparation of architectural drawings for this project, working on floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details. My responsibilities included refining spatial layouts, coordinating structural elements, and ensuring code compliance. The project also helped me explore design solutions that respond to topography, views, and passive lighting.
Software used for this project included AutoCAD for drafting, SketchUp for 3D modeling, and Lumion for visualization.
